Under 18 Kent League 6 - 3 Park Regis

Away | 17 December 2017

Strike Force U16's finished 2017 off in winning fashion as an in form Luke Taylor scored 4 on a day where the football wasn't always the best but the visitors took their chances.

The game began in wet and windy conditions with neither side were able to get the ball down and play. As time went by Strike Force continued to pass and move and when a shot from wide was too hot too handle, Ellis Holliday was first to react as he tapped the loose ball home. A few moments later and Taylor got his first as he beat the keeper after some good work from Tomasso Vitiello and Tom Hoare. 10 minutes later and it was three nil as Taylor again slide the ball past the oncoming keeper. Strike Force seemingly relaxed after this and when they gave away a cheap free kick the hosts took full advantage of some bad marking. The hosts again went close when Strike Force let a long ball bounce but the striker fired just over the bar. With a few minutes of the first half remaining, Strike Force got their 4th as Taylor sealed a fine first half hat trick curling the ball into the top left corner. With one last attack Regis got another goal back as another cheap free kick was at first saved terrifically by Wayne Everest but Park Regis reacted quickest firing home.

After half time, Strike Force came out looking to extend their lead further when Taylor scored his final goal after a good ball in from Vitiello before Park Regis pulled one back and the score was complete when Kurt Dayson-Scott found the net from range.

After the game, manager Mike Juden was full of praise for his lads saying "This season has been a testing one, so many times the boys have stepped up their game when they have needed to and despite the conditions today we were good with the ball and played intelligently to our advantage."
